Word of the Day

I learned a new word last week: Nadir
Definition (from dictionary.com):
--noun
1. Astronomy. the point on the celestial sphere directly beneath a given position or observer and diametrically opposite the zenith.
2. Astrology. the point of a horoscope opposite the midheaven: the cusp of the fourth house.
3. the lowest point; point of greatest adversity or despair.
[Origin: 1350–1400; ME ≪ Ar naẓīr over against, opposite to (the zenith)]
Sentence: How is NOT getting tickled in the middle of the night a highlight? That should be the nadir of your GC!

Glad I could contribute a word of the day.... maybe I'll buy you a Word of the Day calendar for Christmas. :)

OOOH...those things are fun. April got me one with Italian phrases last Christmas. What would be even more fun was if you made one yourself with unique words that you use.

That's not a bad idea...You think anyone would buy it?

I know you'd sell at least two of them. :-P

Ah well, wishful thinking.
