Recently, I noticed that occasionally, the power cord would stop charging my battery on my laptop. I'd have to fiddle with it for a few minutes, and then it would work again.
Tuesday morning, I put the last touches on my paper and goofed around until it was time to go shool. I packed up my laptop and headed out...
It's a damn good thing I only needed to print out my paper. I kept fiddling with the power cord, but it wouldn't start charging. I tried again yesterday, but the same problem.
I tried calling DELL to see if it would be possible to get a new one shipped here (because I have another 10 page paper due on Wed). When I tried calling the Italy number, big shock, they were closed already. It took be forever to get through to the U.S. number and when I finally did, she had a lot of trouble hearing because I was calling from an Italian payphone. So I finally tell her what I need and she's asks if I'll be shipping it outside the U.S. She had to ask three times b/c she couldn't hear me ask if there was any way I could possibly get it by Tuesday. Finally, she said "We don't ship outside the U.S." So why the hell did she ask me if I wanted shipped outside the U.S. GRRRRRRR
In class, Andrea let me borrow her power cord, and I checked out the DELL website. I couldn't find the cord I needed on the Italy (or even the UK) site, so I had to go to U.S. one. I found the one I needed and it would ship within 1 day. $70 for the cord, another $16 for next day shipping, plus whatever the hell it's gonna cost to rush it from home to here.
OH, did I mention, I really won't be needed the laptop after next Wed. It couldn't last another 8 days? It's only 192 hours...
Well, I'm going on a cool trip this weekend including the Parmasan Cheese museum and the Ferarri museum.
